Project Description-
For this project we were to create a miniature robot light show using and arduino. Our group made a song that was synchronized to eight LED's. When the note played on row of four LED's would light up. Then during the rest in between the notes the other row of LED's would light up. This gave us a very cool effect where the rows of lights were alternating to the beat. We also did a few other things with learning about how electricity works and what thing like current, resistance, and voltage are. We learned about this through a multi-page packet that had a number of experiments exploring these concepts. |
Concepts-
The concepts are:
Circuit- a complete loop made of conductive material from one side of a power source to the other side.
Parallel Circuit- The current has multiple routes.
Series Circuit- The current goes through multiple resistors in a row.
Resistance- Obstacle to the current that weakens, reduces, or slows the current.
Voltage- Push or pull on electricity, or the drop of electricity across a resistor
Power- Brightness of a bulb.

Reflection-
This project was probably one of our best projects in terms of getting what we had to get done when we had to get it done. I think that our biggest peak during this project was that we worked and communicated with other groups very well. With coding we could ask around for help, we good borrow code from other groups that we couldn't figure out but they did. This also happened the other way, other groups good ask us for help too. Another one of our peaks was that we were able to decide what we wanted from very early on and then we knew what we had to do to reach that point. One of our peaks was that we had some difficulties with time management. We had a lot of time to get what we needed to get done, and we needed all of it, but sometimes we got a little off task. That was one of our pits, time management. Another pit was that we did not so very well with focusing on our goal that we hade laid out in the beginning. This caused us to take a little more time to get what we wanted done.
